Artwork for reproduction in a Newspaper has to meet a number of requirements to facilitate the use of it. Of course our talented staff can manipulate just about any sort of graphic image. However for your convenience as well as ours the requirements are listed below.
Pictures should be in JPEG, photoshop, bmp, or tiff.
Pages of text should be in Microsoft Word or Plain text as in Notepad.
Completed Artwork should be laid out in one of the following programs: Quark Express, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or any program that can create either an Adobe Acrobat pdf format document or an eps format file.
All artwork whether pictures, graphics pdf's or completed artwork should be created at a minimum resolution of 300 dots per inch.
Images for printing can be scanned and should be larger than 1024 x 768.
Completed Artwork should be to the document size required so there will be no need to enlarge or shrink the artwork.
Please do not provide us with low quality pictures such as those taken with cheap digital cameras (its easier for us to scan photos) or low resolution images in completed artwork as happens when attempting to reproduce artwork from images embedded in Word files.
