The Quirindi Advocate has been serving the Quirindi, Murrurundi, Willow Tree and Werris Creek region of New South Wales Australia as a community newspaper since 1901.
"I purchased the business in August 2001, in the interests of maintaining a cohesive community newspaper and printing service for the surrounding district. I did not want what I believed to be an important means of communication to be taken out of the area", said Managing Director Fiona Brackenbury.
"With the purchase of the business including the existing staff, many years of expertise was retained, particularly in the printing section a vital part of the business that many people are not aware of. We have wherever practical incorporated more advanced technology and applied it to our existing printing machines. Our work comes from quite a number of areas in the north-west and we want to extend that further wherever we can."
If you have any ideas for articles or other matter you would like to see in the Quirindi Advocate please let us know on 6746 1188. We are here to provide information and photos of local people and events.
